There's another factor not yet mentioned - perma blinky.
When the caldari wouldn't come out at all, a lot of the key pilots on the gallente side went perma blinky. Now, when the caldari come out with a drake fleet and 4 scimitars, we can't use logi of our own due to the FW faction standings bug. I *just* got my sec above -5, and others are working towards it. But when we are unable to use logistics, and we're outnumbered, and our key high SP guys can't get reps while the caldari are using theirs... There's not a whole lot we can do. Especially since caldari fleets as of late are flying better. (good job on that too!)
Give us a few weeks while we rat above -5, then we can match the logi.
TBH, I wish both sides would stop using logistics. I've said it a few times in the Cal intel channels that we should be cautious about using logi's too much. IMO logi's discourage fights because you then have to make sure you have lots of ECM or more than enough numbers to break the logistics.
The problem is, when Caldari scouts see you Gallente with 4 or 5 Guardians in your gang (like the Hey fight last week) then they are not going to fight you with out their own logistics or lots of ECM.
Just like when Rooks & Kings dropped on the Gal gang we were about to fight last week.. R&K had 7 or 8 Guardians for a 18 man gang which is absolutely ridiculous. I mean who is going to willingly fight that with out having overwhelming blob on their own side.. It's just out right stupid to take that much logistics and expect a decent fight.
Errr no. Love seeing the logis out. The best fights in the last 2 weeks when both sides have fielded full fleet formats, even Snuff were given a run for there money by a caldari fleet.
I know that there is pilots on both side who are -5, the guys on the caldari side are starting to sort this :P. As for the likes of rooks and kings and the others that come that come are way, I look forward to the blue op that mess there day up, then call FW pvp fail.
